Abstract

A 46 year old female who complained of recently aggravated chronic abdominal pain was admitted. US with Doppler study, CT, and angiography demonstrated thrombosis of superior mesenteric vein(SMV) which was probably secondary to compression by a large uterine myoma. Exploratory laparotomy was performed and a large uterine myoma was removed. A very rare case of SMV thrombosis associated with a large uterine myoma
